Electronic Component Shortages Looming

It appears that early 2021 will be shaped by major component shortages and we have seen this to be the case already in our supply chain ordering.

Impacting forces include the following:

  1. Fire at AKM factory in Japan
  2. iPhone/Macbook supercycle
  3. Huawei and other Chinese companies stockpiling in response to sanctions
  4. Covid-19 slowing the build of fresh capacity in component manufacturing
