The breakout board allows connecting PLT to DUT without a PPC: instead of pogo-pins, wires can be connected directly between breakout board and a pre-production sample. This can be used to make sure the test plan works with the DUT. With the breakout board, if you discover, for example that you need to connect a test point to RDTP01 instead of DDTP00, you can simply change the wire. Once everything is working, you can ask us to make a PPC with the same wire connections that you ended up using with the breakout board.

  • Start developing the test plan before finalizing the design of the PPC, and before the PPC is ready.
  • Avoid multiple iterations of PPC.

The PLT Demo Board (now on version 2) is used to verify various features of the PLT. It looks like a Raspberry Pi because we used the same form factor to make use of the Pi accessories out there. This board fits perfectly in the official Pi 4 case and you can power it through the USB-C connector. This board is 100% open source and registered with OSHWA.

The nRF52840 dongle by Nordic is a supported peripheral of the PLT-300A. This is a handy device for BLE testing. Simply insert into any of the PLT's USB ports or have it built into a custom pogo pin cassette. This version of the dongle comes preconfigured to ensure that it works out of the box, without needing to download additional software.
