We Support OSHWA - Open Source Hardware Association

As many can attest from the world of software, a lot of waste can be eliminated by creating and using open source.  It simplifies communication, builds trust, and reduces duplicated work on a global scale.  In 2012, Alicia Gibb decided to apply these concepts to hardware with the formation of the Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA).  At the time of this writing, there were 1,477 projects certified as open source in their directory.  We expect this number to balloon as more people become familiar with this organization.  We recently offered a bit of financial support to OSHWA and more importantly, we are actively looking at which of our in-house designs are candidates to be certified.  Some hardware designs simply do not need to be kept under wraps and would be more useful and sustainable if they were made publicly available.  Watch for the logo below on more circuit boards in the future.
